This project was very well organized, aside from it not fitting on one page and a few issues with the formatting. This project would be a great help to me if I were absent for a class period. The power pictures show an insightful way of remembering the characters, and drawing out the stroke order helps too. Culture notes gives me an extention on the information, telling me how to write the characters for each level of schooling. Overall, this was a great effort. Good job!

TMWCV12's comments Overall these notes are very good. There is lots of information.Everything was very well explained, and the pictures were very helpful. It was clear, easy to read, and appealing. These notes would be very helpful to use if i was absent.

MJBCV12's comments: Your project was brilliant in almost every single way and contained a lot of very helpful and creative information. Right off the start you see the chart which tells you all of the important facts about the three chinese words: lao, shi, and xue, giving you a feel of what you will be learning about and a strong foundation to start with. Although I enjoyed each of the different topics which explains these three characters, I found the part labeled, "Power Pictures" the most helpful to me. After reading of how you remember these different characters, I do not think I will ever forget how to write them, because your ways are extremely creative and unique. Finally, I liked your final question. This is because it not only summarizes what you wrote about, but it is also very thought-provoking; leaving me wondering on how to say these different school related positions. Very nice work!

MCBCV12's comments: Wow! This project is amazing; easily the best one I have seen yet. There is so much useful information that would be a big help if someone is learning these characters. The pictures are a great way to help all of us who read your notes remember the character and what they mean. I also think that the stroke order and the progression of the strokes of each character is a huge help in learning the characters. The cultural note and final summary are great additions and make your page stand out, along with the pictures and highlighting. The final question is also a good question that would be useful, especially to us students. The only thing that I could find that was negative about your project was the absense of a title at the top of your page. But, other than that, great job!
GDKCV12's comments: I thought you had a very good project in many respects. You included a lot of information about your characters and their usage. Your idea of drawing in the strokes in order was very creative. The cultural notes box gives the reader an extension of the information and provides them with a deeper look into these aspects of Chinese culture. I thought your "power pictures" were entertaining and a very helpful learning tool. Your final question could be very useful in school and im sure we will learn those terms later on. Despite the fact that it didn't fit on one page and there were a few little formatting issues with a few of your text boxes, there were very few negative things about your project. Great job!

Your project is by far one of the best. It is organized and detailed while being unique and interesting. It is very helpful that you highlighted important parts and added tables, which made it easier to read. Also, by having example sentences, it provided a greater understanding of these characters. I liked how you incorporated the stroke order for each character. It was unique since very few people had stroke order on their projects. In addition, I found that your power pictures and cultural note on Chinese schools were very interesting. One area for improvement is on punctuation, such as adding periods to the end of your sentences. Some other errors were that you did not add a title, you went over one page, and the formatting of your words were a little off. All in all, you had many great achievements with slight mistakes. I feel that you did a spectacular job.

L1-JAUCV12's comments - Your project was very good. The table at the very beginning was a great idea because it immediately clears up any questions on each character. Also, I like how you highlighted each new topic when you moved on to something else. It kept everything organized. You also had power pictures which was a very good idea since they can easily help someone remember a certain character. Your cultural notes were important too since the Chinese school system is not entirely the same as the American schools. Including stroke order is always a plus too. I like how in your summary you both summarized and then went on to explain your conclusion. Your sentence that you used as an example was good too since it used all the concepts that you demonstrated earlier in your notes. I like your overall question too. It was totally random, and yet completely relavent. Very nice project overall.
